This kitchen was a complete remodel that called for cabinets in cherry wood with Fireside finish. They were the perfect match to the style of the existing home, built in the early 80’s. The owners wanted a kitchen set up for entertaining and a large peninsula was created to accommodate eight seats.
The peninsula also serves as a bar, providing a wine cooler, an ice maker, a beverage center and a sink. The bar and the cooking area occupy the same room and, because of the skillful design, they function independently of each other or in unison. The copper motif behind the range reflects the owners’ affection for horses. Other horse accents run through the house as real horses run free in the back yard.
